Hey :) I'd like to ask you something. Did you ever use Loreal Hicolor HiLights over a previous dye? I have a previous reddish brown dye and I'm wondering if it will work well. I'm aiming for a really bright red...
Thanks you! x

Yes, my hair was previously dyed before using this product. I've actually been coloring my hair for about 5 years now. There's actually another product I just found out about called "L'Oreal Excellence HiColor" which sounds like the same thing but the one I used is specifically meant for "highlights" but the one I just found is for all over color. I haven't tried the other one yet, but I'm going to soon and hopefully it will work better. I will do a hair update if it works out well. :)

I get very bored with my hair color often and decided recently that I wanted something vibrant and bold! After doing a lot of research and reading tons of reviews I decided to try L'Oreal Hi-color Hi-Lights for Dark hair only.First I did it in Magenta ...I wasn't thinking clearly and put it all over and ended up with "hot roots". So I returned to Sally's but they were out of Magenta, so I decided to go with Red. WOW! This was such a beautiful bright Red!! I absolutely loved it! This product is not for you if you want a natural looking red . Make sure to put on your ends first and only on your roots for the last 10-15 minutes depending on how dark your natural color is! DID NOT damage my hair! Smell wasn't to strong! My only complaints is the amount and it faded pretty fast. The fading may have been due to me showering with hot/warm water, but it is winter and too cold for cold showers! This also may be fixed with a color protein filler . Next I will be trying their Mega Blondes ... I have already stripped my hair with Jherri Redding's One and Only Color Fix! ( see my review) HAPPY COLORING!! After Picture on my blog: http://zanyzana-zanap.blogspot.com/

My hair is a natural almost jet black haircolor and i am going to try this hair product. Is there any specific volumizer thing to use??? And what are the down sides to putting red in it.

If you're looking for a bright red colour, my suggestion is that you use a 30 or 40vol creme peroxide, otherwise you might get a very slight change of colour (since your hair is so dark). However, if you're looking for bright red, don't use this product. Use L'oreal Majicontrast Red instead. It's the best product ever, it won't let you down!
P.s. I've had bright red hair myself and have used both this product (HiColor) and Majicontrast. So I'm speaking for my personal experience :)

I have bleached my hair a year ago to get the black dye out. I had platinum blonde hair..then used manic panic's vampire red and LOVED IT!!! But after it faded I had to rebleach it and that ruined my hair so my mother had me dye it back to black. I would love to have my red hair back so I bought red hot hoping it would work so I wouldn't have to bleach it again. I was just wondering before I used the dye if it would actually work. My hair is a really dark brown almost black color now.

Hello beauty junkee
I have dyed my hair
The Loreal hi color Magenta. Now I wanna dye it back black. What do you recommend me use to do that the proper way.... Thx you!!

My hair is dyed red using the brand Ion with a level 10 developer. The color was I think just red. I got good results by using that dye but I want an even redder red. Its definatley red but not quite Ariel red yet! I was uneducated about developers but now I understand how they work. I would like to use Loreal excellence hicolor highlights in shade red with either a 20 or 30 level developer. I am only worried about damaging my hair and I've read many reviews were people say don't use it on dyed hair. Others say you can! Which is it? If I dye my hair red always it shouldn't matter it should still lighten it id think. Also can I add an intensifer to my mix? I am using john friedas shampoo and condition for red hair.
If anyone has some good advice please PLEASE reply!

Hi, I'm new to blogging and internet sites in general and was wondering how you got the "www" included in your domain name? I see your web address, "http://www.blogger.com/comment.g?blogID=8662887742523941314&postID=6752971383066599617" has the www and my domain looks like, "http://mydomain.com". Do you know the correct way I can change this? I'm using Wordpress.

Thanks a ton

My developer is trying to convince me to move to .net from PHP.
I have always disliked the idea because of the costs.
But he's tryiong none the less. I've been using Movable-type on a
variety of websites for about a year and am anxious
about switching to another platform. I have heard very good things
about blogengine.net. Is there a way I can transfer all my wordpress content into it?

Any kind of help would be greatly appreciated!

hi i just though i would add my experience. i have been dyeing my hair for 12 years now. you can not name a shade it hasn't been. for the past 2 years i have just kept it solid black. well i decided it was time for a change. my hair goes down to about my elbows and it pretty thick so keep that in mind. i bought three boxes of l'oreal color zap and it worked wonders for removing years of dye build up. by no means did it make me a blonde, but it did the trick. i conditioned and waited a day. i then used two boxes of l'oreal HiColor for dark hair Red Fire with lever 20 CLEAR developer. i know the directions say to use creme, but i wanted to make sure it took to my hair and way bright. i am glad i did. it turned out better than i could have hoped for. if you do chose to use clear, always to your roots last and only for a few minutes. it works much, much fast. and yes, it is a little harsher on your hair. but since i have dyed it, i have been using the l'oreal total repair 5 and it has made all the difference in the world. remember though. what worked for me may make your hair fall out. each person is different and be careful ladies and keep rocking the red hair =)

Hey, I have been dying my hair with 'La Riche, Directions' in poppy red, but it just won't take to my regrowth. If I switch to Loreal Hi colour intense red will it work on the already dyed hair? And will it dye my regrowth a totally different colour?

My natural hair is a mid to dark brown, and the dyed hair is a pretty bright red.

Thanks in advance for any help :)
